With harmonised hardware and software components, Weidmüller facilitates Total Energy Monitoring tailored to the prevailing conditions. Solutions of all sizes can be implemented – from the individual measuring point, to the extensive measuring point system including remote access.
“Our energy measuring instruments make it possible to divide energy networks into manageable areas, in order to make the analysis of consumption and other energy-related parameters more convenient,” reports product manager Jens Muttschall. “Not every device is suitable for every task. While our energy meters are used wherever measuring energy efficiency is involved, we recommend energy analysers for assessing network quality. Energy loggers are used to provide data efficiently and conveniently.”

integrated data interface to forward the measured data. But even existing hardware can be easily integrated into the solution. Where for instance u-remote is being used as a remote I/O solution, the integration of the new three-phase power measurement module allows key data from electrical consumers to be recorded and forwarded in real time.
Compared with individual energy measurements, the Weidmüller integrated solution supports centralised, web-based visualisation using the ecoExplorer software. This makes it easy for various users to analyse energy data in accordance with their requirements and to derive optimisation potential. ecoExplorer Go also provides a PC-based software solution for rapid parameterisation and visualisation directly on the device.
